With a number of sepsis survivors, Sepsibel vzw was founded on 29 September 2023
Our mission is to unite Belgian sepsis patients and relatives of deceased sepsis victims, and represent their interests.
Our initiatives are focused on:
- raising awareness of sepsis among policymakers, healthcare sector & general public
- supporting the implementation of a national and regional sepsis action plan in Belgium
- bringing together and supporting sepsis survivors and relatives of patients who died of sepsis (annual meeting of fellow sufferers, sepsis events, etc.)
- promoting the psychological, social and physical health of patients and their families who endured this disease.
